There are two types of health insurance. There are individual plans that individuals purchase for just themselves or just themselves and their families. Group Health Plans

A group health plan is a great way to attract and keep quality employees. You can shop for coverage at any time of the year. Employers generally cover at least 50% of the premium for the employee. It can be less for dependents. As long as you have two employees (one of the employees can be the owner), you can have a group health plan.

Getting a quote and seeing your options is not complicated. We just need a list of your employees and their birthdates as well as the ages or birthdates of dependents that will be covered under the plan. 

Does my business qualify for a health insurance tax credit?

You may qualify for a tax credit that could cover some of the costs you pay for employees’ premiums. This credit reimburses qualifying small businesses for up to 50% of the premiums paid toward health, dental, and vision insurance. eHealth can help you obtain your tax credit and find a small business health insurance plan that works best for you and your employees. In order to qualify:

• The average annual wage per worker must be less than $50,000.
• Your business needs to have 25 full-time employees or less.
• You need to contribute a minimum of 50% toward employee health coverage.

We offer policies through Covered California, as well as Kaiser, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Health Care, and Aetna among others. We also offer all levels of copays and deductibles.

Individual Plans

Individual plans are for individuals and families. You can purchase a plan from an insurance carrier like Kaiser, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, or Sutter Health. Or you can purchase a subsidized plan through Covered California and the plan will be administered by one of those same insurance companies.
